Corn is harvested. Starch is extracted from corn.
Era of Plastic
Plastic pollution is a global issue pervasive to all land and oceans. LEAF exists to solve the plastics pollution catastrophe via compostable alternatives
Plastic is everywhere
It is in the clothes we wear, the cars we drive, and is used to construct every building we enter.
Plastic particles has made into its way to the water we drink, the food we eat, and the air that we breath.
We rely on this cheap, durable, and convenient material for almost every aspect of our life. Only recently have we seen first hand of the detriment that it causes to our environment and our health.
FACTS ABOUT PLASTIC
LEAF is solving the problem of single use plastics
By using compostable alternatives we as a society can eliminate 60% of single plastic output. This is translates to 25000 Eiffel Towers of plastics taken out of our environment. We recognize the disconnect of making a single use product out of a material that lasts 100-1000 years.
LEAF is solving the problem of single use plastics
By using compostable alternatives we as a society can eliminate 60% of plastic output. This is translates to 25000 Eiffel Towers of plastics taken out of our environment. We recognize the logical disconnect of making a single use product out of a material that lasts 100-1000 years. With your help, together we will fix this problem.
NUMBER OF PLASTIC PIECES ELIMINATED FROM THE WORLD
24000000
Leaf champions green education and the use of environmentally ethical and compostable products to eliminate the use of single use plastics in our world
Product life cycle
Starch is fermented to make lactic acid. Lactic acid is “condensed” to make Polylactic Acid (PLA).
ALL OF LEAF PRODUCTS ARE DERIVED 100% FROM PLANTS
We use non-GMO corn for our compostable plastics, and non-GMO sugarcane bagasse for all other compostable products. We do not deal in biodegradable products as we know most biodegradable products are green washed products that harm the environment
